Vessel Description
The CI 4000 metre Flybridge Powercat is a highly efficient semi-displacement hull form is designed to cruise very economically between 18 knots and 21 knots with 2 x 240hp engines.
The design features a superb owner’s cabin in the starboard hull with an office, vanity unit and ensuite. The port hull has a very spacious double cabin forward and a bunk cabin located aft that can convert to a double berth. A bathroom is located amidships in the port hull. The main helm is located in the saloon and is designed to maximize available space with its fold up seat creating additional bench space in the galley. The cockpit has been designed to cater for fishing, diving or long term pleasure cruising. A cockpit bathroom and extended boarding platform to increase the overall length to 13.3 metres are two of the options available along with a 4 cabin, 3 bathroom charter version.
The open flybridge design saves weight and reduces windage which adds to the overall efficiency of the vessel.
Generous seating has been provided on the flybridge and the helm provides visibility to all 4 corners of the vessel.
Vessel Construction
The vessel is female moulded using vinylester resins below the water line to provide osmosis resistance. The hulls feature kevlar reinforcement for impact resistance and the hulls have water tight compartments below the hull sole to provide additional security. The construction of the hull shell and the bulkheads is foam and glass for light weight, low maintenance and strength.
