Vessel Description
The C.I 5800 Flybridge Powercat is a superb cruising vessel combining luxurious accommodation with outstanding performance.
The superb interior layout is ideally suited to extended live aboard cruising with the owners cabin having a walk around master berth, an office desk and a full walk in wardrobe. The ensuite off the master cabin is one step down from the master cabin and is very large measuring approximately 2 metres (6ft 6 inches) in length.
In the port hull the forward cabin has a double berth and a single berth which doubles as a settee.
The aft port cabin has upper and lower bunks with the option of the lower berth having a fold down pulman to form a double berth. Internal access to the engines rooms is available via the water tight engine room door located in the bulk end at the aft end of the cabin.
The starboard hull has a very nice guest cabin with generous storage areas and with its own ensuite which has a water tight door leading to the engine room.
The Saloon area is an entertainer’s delight with plenty of room and separate lounge and dining area.
Considerable emphasis has been put on the galley design with very good visibility back to the cockpit and to the rest of the vessel. We have incorporated massive storage into the galley area matched with good sized refrigeration for extended cruising.
Moulded stairs to the flybridge provide easy access to the spacious upper level helm area. Seating for up to 14 is available in the flybridge making it a real entertainment centre. The helm position provides excellent visibility forward and to the cockpit for those keen on fishing or diving. The flybridge comes with enclosed hard top or hard top with clear.
The cockpit has options to cater for game fishing, diving or long term pleasure cruising and can be customized to meet the requirements of individual owners. The large dinghy locker under the foredeck can take a 3.1 metre (10ft) long inflatable with a 15 hp outboard. Locating the dinghy below decks frees up deck space, allows better visibility forward, protects the dinghy and is much safer when travelling offshore or when experiencing rough sea conditions.
The C.I 5800 Flybridge Powercat fitted with foils, standard shaft drive and with long range tanks has an estimated 800 mile cruising range at 20 knots and 1,850 mile cruising range at 8 knots.
Vessel Construction
The vessel is female moulded using vinylester resins below the water line to provide osmosis resistance. The hulls feature kevlar reinforcement for impact resistance and the hulls have water tight compartments below the hull sole to provide additional security. The construction of the hull shell and the bulkheads is foam and glass for light weight, low maintenance and strength.
